Smoke jumper photos. October at Bear Creek jump spot in the Methow Valley. Bill Moody visited the 1974 Worlds Fair at Spokane, including the Soviet exhibit. Bill became friends with Soviet exhibit officials and invited the to visit the Methow Valley and the North Cascades Smokejumper Base. The tall man left of Bill Moody was a Soviet forester, Vladamir. Far left in the photo is Gary Nelson, Okanogan Forest Supervisor. Bill Moody is in the white jump suit. The other four are Soviets from the exhibit in Spokane. |
